I had a similar issue with the older Mizuno Blue Rage drivers (Acce shaft in stiff). I am thinking I need to consider regular shafts for future drivers. The sound of the ball strike is a muted whack - dull sounding and not the ting I am used to with the Taylormade.
I expected more from the club, honestly. I thought I'd be able to achieve a ball flight that would allow a slight draw. I never got close. I moved from a Cobra LD-F to a Cleveland HiBore XL to this Mizuno. I was really looking at the Titleist drivers, but at $139 on *bay, this Mizuno is unbeatable (and felt better too.) Plenty forgiving, a more boring ball flight and the sound is a solid 'thwack'. The movable weights do work. I'm driving the ball better and further than ever. What's not to love. This is more of a players driver so pay attention to the shaft and loft.
